Check UK registration details where applicable

If the vehicle is UK registered, compare its registration and available VIN information with the documentation supplied. Imports awaiting registration may require different evidence and should be handled according to their actual status.

Before collection

Provide the transporter with the vehicle's exact make, model, condition, collection documentation and whether it runs, rolls and steers. For scrap, make sure the person supplying the vehicle has appropriate authority to dispose of it.
