Smiling Bread Canvas

A loaf of bread with a face and a clear investment in its own existence: the folk art treatment gives the subject immediate warmth, the bold outlines and simplified forms handling the absurdity with the cheerful conviction that makes this sort of thing work. The hand-drawn quality of the lines adds texture and life throughout. A piece that commits to its premise completely.

Kitchen artwork for homes where the cooking space has a personality and the walls are expected to match it. Works as horizontal wall art in a kitchen or dining room where a landscape canvas with this much character suits the available space, and in any space where folk art and a strong sense of humour are entirely the right combination. A piece that makes people smile.
