Simian Speakeasy Canvas

A chimpanzee behind the bar, the speakeasy setting established in period-accurate detail: bottles arranged, surfaces polished, the atmosphere of a particular kind of establishment entirely convincing. The monochrome treatment suits the subject, the black and white tones giving the scene a vintage authority that colour would undermine. The premise is absurd; the execution takes it entirely seriously, which is precisely why it works.

Quirky kitchen wall art for homes where the art is expected to earn a reaction and hold its own. Works as vertical wall art in a kitchen or dining room where a monochrome canvas with a strong comic premise and genuine craft suits the available wall, and in any space where wit and quality belong together. A piece that delivers on both.
