Fig Duo Splendour Canvas

Two figs, split to reveal the interior. The realist approach that this canvas takes is interested in contrast: the rough, matte surface of the skin against the delicate inner structure, the deep purple against soft pink, the whole arrangement set against a pale blue ground that gives the composition its particular quietness. There is nothing performative about this painting. It simply looks at two figs until it has understood them properly, then stops.

Kitchen wall art for still-life lovers and anyone who appreciates close observation of seasonal food. Works in a dining room as naturally as a kitchen, wherever the soft blue ground can complement cool, neutral tones. Suits a contemporary or Scandi interior where subtlety is the point.
